Hi I'm a CLP holder living in NYC.
At first I was planning to get my class A CDL with self study and 10 times of skill lessons at local trucking school. But I realized trucking is not just maneuvering of a truck. I need real knowledge and more. So I decided to go a company paid truck driving school.
I'm thinking one of those - C.R England, Prime inc, TMC. Which one is best for beginner? Or any other suggestion for me?
Thanks.

Based on what I’ve seen in my 25 years of long haul trucking England and Prime are rate cutting bottom feeders and a very large part of what’s wrong with the industry today.
Don’t believe me just do a search on this site of all the negatives, and there are plenty.
Again based on what I’ve seen their training programs are a joke...They are nothing more than CDL mills turning out poorly trained drivers in an attempt to fill a seat.
Want further proof ? Take a hard look out on the interstate or in any fuel stop at what they have driving for them and the manner in which they do their job.
Rarely have I ever, If ever, seen a TMC driver doing something unsafe or unprofessional...That right there tells me something about the training they provide.
You asked for my opinion you got it..Hermit Trucker Thanks this. -
C.R. story....when I was in school, had a guy there from the Congo. Had only been in the country a couple months, spoke broken English. He was concerned about driving a 10 spd, tried explaining to him it’s basically a 5 spd, just gotta go through the pattern twice. Had no idea what I was talking bout, had never drove a manual. He was gone the first week, couldn’t pass his permit test....he was sponsored by C.R. England
