Meet a driver that works for PAM was told that they're not doing to good. Told me that all of their drivers are being forced to take a 5% pay cut. Was thinking about appying with this company because they use automatic transmissions. Anyone know of anything. Tnx, newbee.

I got my start working for PAM Dedicated several years back. They haul primarily for the Auto Industry from Warren,OH to Laredo & El Paso, TX and points in between, I would imagine given the problems with GM that they aren't doing to well. -
Does anyone believe that they will start doing better any time soon? Or how long will the pay cut last?
-
It's hard to say, most companies that thrived during the good yrs, are not doing so well as I hear.. You must keep a positive out look, and as time goes buy and things start to improve I'm sure Pam and the rest of these companies will rebound.
Stillwater Thanks this. -
Hopefully the economy will improve and all the companies will start doing a lot better. That would be a good thing, especially if it happens soon.

The 5% cut is true. As for how I'm doing, seems like I get one decent check in three or four. There's been alot of 600 mile runs that deliver in three days.
But on the bright side, their stock jumped 10% today.
Hopefully it'll speed up the uncut.

Why would anyone make a job decision based on the transmission type of their tractors?...Not being a wiseguy...just don't understand the logic

Work for Decker when first started. Not a bad company alot of east coast. But agree driving and automatic right out of school not a good choice. limts your choices later.
