Does anyone here know any success or fail stories on Pam Transport lease purchase program (cartage carriers)? II cant seem to find many good or bad reviews for the lease purchase specifically, only company drivers pay complaints and how they like or dislike the company etc. I'd love to hear the lease purchase comments if at all possible. Thanks in advance!!

Pam Transport is notoriously cheap. Stay away.

The overall freight market right now (& for the foreseeable future) is notoriously cheap. Stay away (be a company driver, instead).

Not to defend a lease purchase, but I would think the one thing they have going for them is that spot market rates should not affect revenue as pay is typically on a mileage basis isn't it?

Yeah probably like a dollar a mile + fuel surcharge and all the miles you can legally run on an ELD so pretty much running at cost.

Since you’ve already seen the negatives from their drivers, you know what their LP program will be like. You’ve been given the red flags.

Their pay is 1.05 a mile I believe and I think a bit more for some dedicated . I wasn't sure what is considered average when they do mileage pay.

Plenty of threads in this forum about them. 99% NEGATIVE. Use the search feature and read for yourself.

1.05 is low. You'd have to run a lot of miles to see profit, only because it's so many deductions from your weekly settlement. I remember a guy who ran for TransAm and they were paying something similar to what Pam is offering you. He did it for a couple of months but could never get a check that wasn't in the red. His truck note was 695 per week, and you know that was the first thing that came out. He had so many fees come out of his settlement, but then got his lease terminated because of an accident at a shipper.

Look at it this way, at least $.50/ mile for fuel and $.50/mile for wages has eaten up all your income. What are you going to use to purchase and maintain a tractor, assuming they pay for everything else?
