That's pretty much what I told Pat Quinn in my comment to NHTSA in their request for comments for speed limiters after USX got found in violation during an audit during the comment section . I said Pat Quinn needs to clean up his own house regarding speeding before he starts telling other carriers how their drivers should drive .

This all reminds me of going into the Washington scale on I-90 back in the mid 90's. I was checked on a log book. I had fueled in SD, went to Hardin, MT and took a break, etc. When he checked the mileage and time I showed going from Rapid City to Hardin, he said I had shaved miles by 90. I said you are calculating on taking I90 the whole way. He said, of course. I said (now this was back when JB Hunt was a training company) that only a cherry for JB would drive that way. I took Hwy 212 from Belle Fourche thru Lame Deer to Hardin. That saves 90 miles compared to I-90. He asked if I could prove it. I asked if he could prove I went the way he said I had. I didn't use the leverage I had that I had crossed the MT scale at Broadus. That was the ace up my sleeve if I needed it. Didn't. He backed off. It was actually somewhat enjoyable playing the game that day.
