I'm still mad about the FJ near Odessa in Pecos TX. Stopped there early morning like 2 or 3 to get a drink and a protein bar. Left and found trucks creatively parked the end of the lot making both parking isles dead ends. We drove down and all stacked up on each other then we all started awkwardly backing up into the scrimmage line area and left through the fuel pumps and weigh station. That area is a madness.

Creative parking doesnt bother me as long as I can get through. Some lots are very dark, people dont leave their ambers on and I cant see my tandems when turning.

I wish more people would leave their ambers on. It helps trucks wiggle through at night, and the gold glow is just cool.

Try parking a bobtail in the car lot at the Loves on the north side of Jacksonville, FL
you'll have to move to a real spot or leave.
Take a full spot and go to sleep.

Must say it is very irritating when I come up on a potential parking space, bobtailing, and 1 bobtail is taking up 1 entire spot!!

Can’t we Share a bit more out here??

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

    Absolutley not!!!
The Smith System always leave yourself a way out.
Only a fool would be trapped behind another bobtail in a parking spot.
Just pretend that bobtail has a trailer behind it.

With all due respect I must disagree. I would rather be legally parked knowing my tractor may have to move a few feet to allow the driver behind me access to exit that spot...or vice versa., rather than creatively park and put my equipment in harms way. And of course I would only “share” after coming to an agreement with the other driver regarding who needs to move at what time. This has worked very well for me in the past.

Careful about using four-wheelers parking. They are not always built for the weight of a tractor. Specifically down south where everything is a swamp underneath. Always check with store personnel first.
