    Need some advice.
    07 T600
    Cat C-15

Parked my trucked a month ago.

Went to crank it and all I got was a single click from the starter solenoid in the battery box.

Replaced it still nothing but a single click..

Ran APU every week to keep batteries built up.

Tried to jump it off on the solenoid in the battery box, only little spark and Truck didn't even try to crank.

Went to the starter and jumped it right there and it turned over 3 times and fired right up.

Ran it for 15 minutes, shut it off, turned the key and a single click again on the starter solenoid in the battery box??

Any advice and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My isx did that a few months ago when it sat while I was offshore. I had to run the apu for 4-5 hours just to get the batteries charged enough to start. I’ve been told that it takes about 5+ hours of engine runtime to recharge dead batteries. You might want to check individual batteries to see if one is bad also. Last year I had one battery that was sucking the life out of the other 3.

check batteries, and then battery cable connections all the way to the starter including the grounds. If the batteries are good, something is preventing the juice from flowing. I've had loose connections at the starter and corroded ground connections do this.

How did you jump the starter? If you jumped the big post from the batteries to the small starter solenoid trigger wire then your issue is on the control side of the system.

FWIW, don't concern yourself with the batteries or starter cables right now. You started the truck just fine by jumping the starter. That's proof enough your batteries and cable connections are ok.

I'm not sure that's always true. I've had a couple of cases with farm equipment where adding a boost was enough to overcome a poor connection.

All depends on how OP jumped the starter. The power should travel through its normal path to the starter. Only exception being possibly the starter solenoid contact disc if the 2 big terminals on the solenoid were jumped. Essentially bypassing the contact disc (which very well could be burnt or dirty).

If just jumping 12 volts to the solenoid trigger wire, that's just taking place of the "start" position on the keyswitch. If it cranked over fine and fired in that case, all the high amperage connections would appear to be adequate and the issue is somewhere on the control side.

I agree. The way I read is that he applied power directly from an outside source to the starter post.
