I'm having an issue with my parking brake light and buzzer.
So while I driving down the road my buzzer goes off along the the red triangle and the little red circle with a P inside warning me that my parking brake is applied. Although I know it's not.
I pull over set me brakes and the red triangle disappears I check for codes. None.
So I release my parking brake drive down the road a little farther 60 miles or so and it does it again. I repeat the same steps and again it all goes away.
It seems that the truck thinks it's in park and it's not. Is there anyway to get around this malfunction? Do I have a short somewhere?

I had the same problem on my vt 830 I used to have and the volvo dealer i stopped by then replaced the parking brake switch, switch did cost less than 30$ and is mounted near the brake pedal
hope that helps -
Same problem here 2011 vnl64t300
just unplug the sensor located behind the lower left kick panel. Switch wire is labeled "PBS"
that will tell the computer that the park brake is not engaged. -
2015 Volvo VNL 670 - I had a brake switch fault code. I purchased the switch, and had a Nextran dealership replace it. When I came to pick my truck up park switch fault code going off. Truck won’t drive. Their response is by replacing one switch another could in turn go bad and have to be replaced. But they have to charge diagnosis with this. Thoughts?
