parking during home time in Maryland

Why did the neighbor complain? I would very nicely go talk to the neighbor or all of your neighbors if you don't know which one. And explain the sitiation and see if you guys can make a agreement.

 

Do you have a Walmart near by or some kind of big store with a big parking lot you that you could park at?

 

Its not nice to wake neighbors up at 0200 when your parking ya truck

I would call around and ask all the places in the local area. Or if you know someone with some extra paved space. Even the people that mentioned the $200/mo. I would see if I could reduce that by 10/day. What that comes out to is about $25/parked 24hrs @ 200/mo. Even some mom and pop gas stations will let you park your rig at them, that don't have a ton of parking. The problem is that most do not ask. So just ask around, the more people you ask, the greater your chances are. Whats the worse anyone could say? "No".. So, the more you ask, the better your odds are.

Also, I'm not sure where you live. But if you know any farmers, or of any farms. They may be willing to allow parking as well for both a personal vehicle and the truck. But you gotta ask.

 

Some of the self storage places will allow you to park your rig for a fee. I know one guy who pays about $100/month so he always has a place to park his rig. If there is a truck stop anywhere close, you could always park for a few days.

 

You need to find a place that has electricity to be able to plug the truck in, winter is comming

 

Maryland don't like trks in their neighborhood.They consider it an eyesore.I know someone who lives in Baltimore and his neighbors did the same thing,only they called the law.So now he either parks it at the TA or the terminal.Maybe your company has a customer close to where you live that would let you leave it there during hometime.

 

same thing here in Charlotte. new zoning law not commercial vehicles in neighborhoods . I had even paved a concrete pad for the tractor.

found a drop lot 20 miles away. then changed jobs to one that has a terminal in town.

 

You aren't grandfathered into the zoning?
