True to an extent. Depends on where you live. IF you live in a region that gets cold during the winter, then may need. But if you live in a region like South Cal or Pheonix AZ or FL and etc for example, not really needed. I'm not sure where the original poster lives, but if is in a cold region. This is a good point that was made. Would make starting that rig a lil easier if possible if live in a cold region during the winters.

I know it's tough in the northeast and those people are a little more high maintenance than us rednecks down here in the south. I've known people to park on ramps and raise the hood with reflective triangles out until Monday.

Maryland is a big state - where exactly are you? I know of a place in Charlotte Hall, but that might not be near you...

There is a TA in Baltimore and Jessup, but you will need to pay to park without purchasing a minimum in the C-store or fuel. Otherwise, I think that it is a $12/might charge. But, at least it is a place to park until you can find something else. There are a couple of truck stops in Elkton. As windsmith said, the TA and there is also the Petro which is now a Flying J (I think). It is just across the freeway from the TA. Baltimore is not a particularly trucker friendly area.

Look on craigslist under parking/storage. Landstar rents space at a container yard for trailer storage in Baltimore and when I lived in Harrisburg PA, I rented space from a trailer repair shop. They didn't typically rent spaces, but I stopped by and we came to an agreement. I've found that many smaller trucking companies will rent extra space in their yards. In fact the company I was leased to in Mechanicsburg PA had their direct competitors paying to park in their overflow lot.
