I really didn't get the impression you were one of the Me ans Me only crowd from your post. I replied as I did for others that might be, hopefully it helps them to understand.

30 minute break while on-duty…this is an unintended consequence of that HOS rules change a couple years back I suspect.
While generally I agree it was a good common sense change to the rules that saves a little time without likely sacrificing any safety, the ELD monster strikes again. When dropping down to line 4 to fuel, it will reset the 30 minutes if the truck is moved too fast across the parking lot. Before you had to go park and hit line 1 for a full 30 minutes to satisfy that, making it more like a 45-60 minute stop depending on circumstances. -
OLDSKOOLERnWV, northstarfire0693 and Opus Thank this.

After reading them I ask the cashier if it was a major problem, and she said yes, yes it is. Told me they have threatened a few in the past of being towed, and some are actually asleep in the truck….
Phoenix Heavy Haul, MACK E-6, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this. -
Forgot one….
Oxbow, navypoppop, Dflip and 1 other person Thank this. -
What truck stops should do, is hire a company to boot trucks taking up the fuel island for no reason. You sitting there for more then 20 minutes, boot goes on. 700 bucks to remove. Ill bet the idiots will go find a place in the lot to park.
ducnut and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
90% will just call the company and expect them to pay it. And then complain about being held up on the road…. -
drvrtech77, OLDSKOOLERnWV and northstarfire0693 Thank this.
