Wa-14 has a lot of "sort of" low clearance bridges. They are marked as in the 12' range, but you can fit 13'6" if you go down the centre of the road. There is no fuel along 14. And there's some decent hills and curves when you get close to the junction with i-205.
I thought you were retiring soon? If you are, jubitz is one of those places to cross off your bucket list. If you care about any of that kinda stuff. Parking in the entire area including the truck stops at Troutdale will be full early. Probably out of luck by 4 pm. Jubitz you might have til 6 pm. Their lot is a good size. The best way to get there is from i5. You can take 84 to 5 but sometimes you're faster to go up 205 into wa and take 14 across to 5 and come back down. Exit 307 and follow the blue signs. They have everything. Truck wash scale laundry (also pay them to do your laundry service) repair shop hotel movie theater etc etc etc. Think they give you a coupon for free rib eye steak dinner with 110 gallons fill up. Forget the corporate crap once in a while.x1Heavy, stwik, MM71 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Wonder if he can get fuel In Oregon without a permit?
-
I have a permit.
Anybody up to date on the rib eye for fueling? -
Can't help you with that. But back in the old days of the old original Jubitz, you used to get a free Ham and Egg breakfast with 100 gallons, value was $1.99. They also used to give you a discount on your fuel,if you ran their mudflaps. Great advertising gimmick, you'd see JUBITZ mudflaps all around the country. Still have some in my shop somewhere. 2 cents off a gallon if you had the flaps on your tractor,3 cents off if you had them on both tractor and trailer. Had a pallet of flaps at the fuel island, help yourself. This is when fuel was less than 30 cents, and old Moe Jubitz the owner was still around, before he died and his kids took over. Also, before the big fire when it burned down, that was around 1975 iirc. That friggin bar was the wild, wild west, back in the old days, spent waaay too much time there.
