Hey folks,
Averitt is hiring part time city drivers in my area. I've been OTR with my first company for 9 months and I just need to be home more. Their website says I'll get 29 hours but I'm wondering what kinda hours/miles/pay you all are getting. I'd be running out of Fishersville VA.

Hopefully you found your answer already, but...
If it's part time, then that would depend on what that service center (SC) needs. When I ran out of Norfolk they had some part timers that ran every other day, switching weekly. (Mon, Weds, Fri, one week, then Tues, Thurs, the next) but that was the needs for both drivers AND the SC...
A lot will also depend on what run(s) or accounts they need help with...
as for pay... that would depend on the area and run(s) you would do. I have no idea about starting pay for something like that. So I would suggest contacting the SC or a recruiter. (of course we all know the standard dialog that will come from that, hence why you are asking on here)
But to be honest, no one here can really give the details you ask, as that position is very specific to the needs of the SC, being part time.chopper103in Thanks this. -
Our part time drivers work 5 days a week right up to there maximum allowable hours. I'm not sure what starting pay is. I am out of Chattanooga.

Mine work three days a week, but we are hourly where we are at. No distance.
