Possibly ready mix concrete or construction company might need a fill in guy? Landscape supply place might need a weekend or "busy season" guy to haul mulch etc.
-
Is there such a thing as on call drive away? Maybe a rental company might need a repositioning driver; uhual, penske, ryder, etc.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Doesn't exist. Most "seasoned" drivers, who hit too many bumps, think, hmm, I could do this part time and go fishing the rest,,,doesn't work that way. Just about everyone here has tried and failed, to get some sort of p/t driving job. What happens, is many times, being the only one who showed up, will be taking that paper load that's been sitting in the yard for 2 weeks, to Wilkes Barrie, Pa, then call us from NY.
It's not unusual for a p/t driver to be out for a month. A better deal, is a short seasonal gig. I did a cranberry farm, loading wagons, and taking them to a drop site, from like Sept. through Oct. Long hours but made some good money and never left the "farm". Good luck.

Mail haulers that service the Detroit sorting facilities will have part time work.
Do you only have 4 months total experience, or 4 months flatbed and you have other experience? -

If none of the above suggestions appeals to you, or work out, you can try Dart's "flex fleet" option:
Dart "Flex Fleet"
And you can see where they're hiring via the map on the following page:
Dart's hiring areas, etc
Three caveats here:
- To qualify for this--you need at least 6 months experience
- It's not flatbed work
- Since it's part-time work--you won't get any benefits with it
Still...it's "part time" work.....
I think they are hiring in your area.
