Look this is how you get out of PTHELL....I stayed 3 months,But they put up with me cuz I went to see my Fleet manager and they saw what outlaw motorcycle club I belong to....Anyways they didnt push me around,I told them how it was going to be..I had no problem getting home time..But heres one way out of that red tape ########,be cool and when you get hometake you a day off before you call them and tell em that you injured yourself, make up any bs...Tell them when you see your doctor again in 7 days that you will fax a when to return to duty from your dr. in 4 days they will bring a driver to come and get your truck...Then after 7 days tell them it will be longer before you can return to work...That should keep your DAC clear, because you DID NOT abandon the Truck you simply could not drive it, and they needed to fill it with a driver, record your phone conversation if you want...Use startegy not anger when leaving a #### hole company...

What motorcycle club do you belong to?
Stonewall Knights Motorcycle Club? (google it) -
or you could do what i did to werner....Go on your hometime, clean out the truck, tell them you're quitting and ask where they want the truck. They gave me a choice of two terminals, one 200 miles away and one more like 400 miles away...I told em i was taking it to indy, and they tried to talk me out of it, but i didnt budge..
They did not seem to be at all upset with me, other than being dissapointed that they were losing me. -
Stonewall Knights Motorcycle Club ROFLMFAO!!

I'm glad someone thought that was as funny as I did when I posted it. -
that was a good one.

At least with them you could go home after each trip and spend 3 or 4 days till you was ready to hit the road again. -
That was funny...MC BFFB

to anyone looking for a company dont go to ptl they are the worst company ive ever drove for the recruiters should be sued for all the lies they tell you they do not care for the drivers happiness all they care for is their freight its all broker loads so dont plan on getting any sleep if you dont care for your cdl and love to run illigal than theyll love you theres a sighn in the orientation class room and in the truck assinghment office that says we love frieght notheing about the drivers after orientation the truck assinghment guy tells you that this isnt a good company to drive for that they dont care about your happiness you wont get any miles or home time their equiptment is beat up and and you wont get a new truck untill you reach their milage quota makes nosense when the dispatcher dont give you any miles so you will be stuck in a pos
their mechanics will skip over things you report on the truck because most of them are college kids that dont have a clue also youll never meet your fleet mgr or dispatcher who got it stuck in their heads that they will be more than happy to replace you if your stuck at the main terminal in murray you cannot bobtail to go to any stores because they tell you its to save fuel but i found out its because their afraid because of dot going thru murray this company is a revolving door theres an equal amount of drivers getting hired and quitting the also discrminate aginst you and or the color of your skin if your seeking this company then you are as brain dead as the recruiter who lies to get you in the door and yes the do got a verry high turn over rate they say they got the lowest but drivers quit every day thats why the got an orientation class every week and their not growing if this was the last company on earth to work for id choose to be unemployed ptl stands for parked too long

They have done you a big Favor. All I can say is Run away from PTL and DON'T LOOK BACK. I am not proud to say but I have in the past had been ordered to Fire Drivers from PTL easily over 100 of them ( Not proud of that) and the majoriety of them Thanked me. Also PTL's turnover rate is over 210% and as a former recruiter we were not doing our job according to the front office if we did not bring in atleast 40 drivers per class and I have seen classes as high as 60 drivers per class. They hold 2 classes a week. You do the math.
