UPDATE: Went to orientation, had to ride the bus. Three others with me, din't understand why they didn't just rent a car for people who come out of same state. Bus rides suck. Left on sunday morning, got to indy monday morning. Q.e.s was waiting on us at bus station. Arrived at Q.e.s about noon, got a 07' century, red. went to celedon terminal got 50 gallons of fuel, stayed overnight to catch up on z's from bus ride. I left indy, arrived in murray about 9p.
Orientation was rather quick, first day did all paper work, company policies, etc. People are nice there, they feed you lunch, give you voucher to local buffet. Pretty good food for both meals. The hotel of course is a crap shack, beds are at least clean and comfortable. If you go mess with Andrew the desk jockey about being from kentucky, he gets all butt hurt. Town is filled with great eye catchers, few things to do there, bt everywhere/
Second day being there got truck inspected, had a minor oil leak. Had to take it to Calvert city freightliner, got more fuel from q.e.s (20 gal). Also techs in Calvert replaced my clutch, had to stay in super duper 8 paid for by q.e.s. Good clean rooms, comfortable beds. Bring money cause food expense is on you when your in Calvert. On PTL when your in murray. Took them a few days to get everything fixed, also took about a day to get authorization from q.e.s to do work.
Well after everything was done I went back to murray, got reinspected, lettering put on my truck, q/c installed, plates and registration put in place. (Btw before you go, better go ahead and get ahead of IRS to get your Federal employee number, alot of hold up from that on people who waited until they arrive). Got a hold of my dispatcher, got first load going to chicago. Ikea 2 stop load, filled up in Murray, ran overnight to deliver. Got 6.83-7.22mpg on way up. Was out of hours upon arrival so took my ten at final. Went to bed, got awoken an hour later with next load. P/u in rockford il for rockford tools going to meritor in nc three days later. put more fuel in on east side of knoxville. delivered, upon delivery got next load for lance foods going from charlotte to ashland, oh. two day trip, delivered. next load p/u at a kroger d/c in fostoria, oh and delivered to memphis tenn, relayed that load in murray for load home. went from murray to waco, and just dh home. started 12/15 was home 0330 on 12/23, found few minor problems with truck now its sitting in freightliner of ft.worth. christmas day i put in some chrome and laid some hardwood flooring.
Pretty happy so far, heard horror stories from office people about how people quit cause of mpg, their truck selection, miles suck due to turning down loads. These trucks engine parameters are set to crete, but governed at 75-78mph. I run 55-65 depending on weight, i have been averaging 6.5-8mpg depending on weight and if i run mountains. Office people said as long as i don't turn down a load won't have problem with miles, i like my freight shaker so, so far i cannot complain.
will be happy to answer any questions if you got em just shoot me a message...oh ya one down fall is they hold one week, should be getting paid next Wednesday so when i do, next time i get on i'll post my settlements up to date.

    Hey cmiller,
keep us posted on how it goes at PTL. I'm thinkin 'bout giving them a try. Friend of mine has been with them for almost a year now and he is happy.

    Thanks, Ron

    UPDATE #2:

went back out some time in january. Anyways been great, first 4 settlements with all of the initial deductions sucked. first 2 where 54 an 98 3rd was 170 4th was 169. got my first good one. 1191.94 this past week. ever o/o or l/p i've talked to from this company says your first month is kind of crappy but then it gets consecutive. after all those initial deductions i'm sitting at 699.48 per week fix plus my fuel, which pretty much gets covered in first load of the week. miles are lowed at 1806 one week only...first week back after all truck repairs was 1600. other than that i'm getting between 2450-3200mi a week, truck still getting between 6.5-7mpg as long as i stay off the floor. never sit even in laredo, brownsville tx, the virginias or carolinas or bfe west. longest i've sat is an hr waiting on load typically i get one as soon as i send my arrival to cons message. other than that may have to sit overnight if out of time on 14hr. all in all they take good care of you, disp works with you and fights for loads for you. all these other bad experiences are like i said rare instances and lazy b/s talkers and people who flat out don't know how to run a business, but their the same ones who'd say JCT or crete or any company for that matter is crap. it just boils down to how you work and treat others. I say go with em, good company good miles, good people good deal! p.s don't turn down loads without valid excuse, heard that from the safety inspector in murray, ky terminal. but honestly being paid mileage why should you? btw don't know if i mentioned on previous post but when you first meet your fm he/she will ask where you don't want to go....if all they have is something within 25-150mi of where you don't go they'll call prior to sending load to verify if you'll go or not. i don't run to miami (bad experience there different story different day), they had a load going to orlando an called me to see if i'd take it.

good luck young fella when running on milage pay it really does not matter where you go just keep movin. some people could sit at home and have a check sent to them each week and still complain because they had to open the envelope and sign the check.Stay away from the professionals and experts and you should do just fine.I myself am against a lease purchase but that does not mean you have to be to each his own

570 a week will buy a brand new Pete or KW that actually has resale value. That's 88921 dollars for an old Crete truck you can buy from a dealer for 30000 dollars or less which is more like 250 to 300 a week with a better warrantee. Buy the way Quality lease is a subsidiary of Celedon ( take that how you want but scary to me). Save your money get your credit in order and buy a truck outright and get a good trucking based accountant then you will stand a snowballs chance of making it.
