    The thing that worries me most is that you felt it was ok to just roll out with a possible brake problem.

    Wmt... You got lucky this time. I bet there's another scale on your route.
    Try unhooking your air lines and sliding your tandems, or back up to a tall curb and use that as a chock, just be sure to lift your mud flaps up so you don't rip them off

    better yet, go to a shop and get the trailer brakes adjusted.

    I knew the brakes worked fine. I picked the trailer up in Texas and drove to KC with no stopping issues. The load on it was only 20k so I didnt need to worry about moving the tandems on that one. I drove back to the shipper (only a mile away) and tried using one of their rubber chocks . That didnt work , they were too small

    The brakes did NOT work fine. if the round rubber things turn when the brakes are set, then the brakes most definitely are NOT working fine
