I passed my pre trip a couple of weeks ago but bumped a chive and failed the skills test. When I go back tomorrow will I have to retake the pre trip, or just go straight to skills?
Any help is appreciated!
Passed Illinois pre trip, failed skills test... Do I need to retake pre trip?

In IL all 3 tests are separate. Your pretrip pass is good for a certain period of time. I believe 6 months or a year. You will not have to retake pretrip, as long as you pass skills and road in that timeframe. Same thing if you pass skills and fail road, you will not have to retake skills again. If you are going to a school they should have explained all of this. Good luck

I didn't go to school so this helps out! Thanks!

Your welcome. Also, if you dont know you have 3 tries for each test. If you fail any of the tests 3 times you have to wait 30 days to retest. Hopefully you pass next time, but I thought you should know.

They are sperate in MN also. A-hole tricked me on my pre-trip by saying only check one side of the truck so I did. Then docks me points for not checking all the lights.
