I scored 75 of 90 points on the pretrip, I scored no points on my maneuvers test, and was docked 2 points on my driving exam. He asked what a road sign said that we passed while I was merging onto the highway from an on ramp, I was more attentive on safely merging then I was on a road sign. The other point was for touching the white line.
Was nervous as all hell, still cant believe i passed. I was sure I was going to fail.
I am scheduled for Orientation come Monday with TMC. Will be leaving on the bus come Saturday afternoon for a 15 hour ride out to Des Moines. Im excited to finally get into what my family has done for years. Now for the real learning. Actually driving the trucks. Im envious of all of you that are experienced.
Passed my CDL exam this morning

Congrats! I checked out TMC and they sound like a good company to work for. I'm not sure about being stuck with someone else in the truck for 5 weeks. But I'm not much of a talker. Anyways, good luck.

Congratulations! I know the feeling of accomplishment you must be experiencing. See you OTR! Oh, and TMC has good looking rigs and a good reputation from what I've read and heard. Good luck!

Im glad its over and I can finally get the chance to get some gainful experience. Sunday I took the time to get some things in order such as things I will need on the road, sleeping bag, and a new pillow, plus some decent work boots, plus setting up payment plans for bills and such. It finally hit my wife that this is becoming a reality. Shes scared Im "gonna be out there making so much money, that I wont want to come home". Seems shes been listening to my dad at how much money he makes, but hes been on the road for 20+ years. I told her that I will be coming home every chance I get, hopefully every other weekend at the least.

May I ask what company you have chosen?
