Hi patty, BINGO. I just don't see how someone can miss a chicken coop.
some are very difficult, especially if you dont know the area
how about the ones where one sign says open, you go in, and no one but the crickets are there (WV westbound 68) -
I missed one in Florida. My prepass didnt go off, but the sighn above me told me to pull in at the last second. Haha man that was a nervous ride until Georgia. Lesson learned do not rely on the prepass 100%

Every coop has signs before you get there, don't buy the 'don't know the area' excuse. If you don't remember seeing the signs you are distracted (dangerous) or too tired to drive (dangerous). Pay it, move on, I don't see a court giving you any credit for being sorry in this case. Yes, your honor, I didn't see at least 2 signs, an on ramp and a building that looks like a coop! In the judges mind the next thing you don't see will be school buses, kids crossing the street and cops parked on the shoulder.
Giggles the Original, nshore harleyguy, pattyj and 3 others Thank this. -
Bad luck, Micah. One of those learning curve moments, or just plain bad timing. Write the check, learn and accept the lesson.

Well, to be honest. I "missed" Monticello once upon a time, was a bit over axle and could not shift load, so I stopped in the truck stop there and had a nice lunch, scoped out the situation and then moseyed on down the road.
But this was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.Joetro, "semi" retired and Milkman719 Thank this. -
Seems like this is a common deal lately. Maybe rumble strips should be implemented.
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
What if the sign says "weigh station 3 miles ahead" but it doesn't tell you it's 3 miles to the center of a town that your route goes thru then two rights and a left to get to it with no signs but the first one. Get off the interstate and you will run into this quite often. So not knowing the area can bite you in the ### especially if the coop is open and has cameras monitoring the intersection.

The sign in Monticello, UT is small (or it used to be, it may have changed since) and says "all commercial vehicles must stop at Port of Entry" or something like that, but if you are going down 191 and not turning onto 491, it can be missed. I only missed the sign once....That was enough. My co driver whom drove there all the time, told me what I had done, I stopped every time after that.

Yeah, when I passed it up it was several years ago, before the building they are in now was built.Snowshoes Thanks this.
