Well, today I went to open the passenger door (W900) and it won't.
I tried using the key and the inside..the pull-up thingy moves but I am not sure its doing much inside the door itself. I tried pulling up on the stick at the same time as trying to open the door, to no avail.

Since the dash blocks part of the door liner and the seat is in the way, how does one try and figure/fix this out?

    Sheesh...

Oh, the joys of buying an 11 year old junker......but you knew that BEFORE you plunked down your cash, right?

A locksmith familiar with the door latch stuff should be able to open it for you so you can fix it. Or you could try buying one of those lock out kits that have the tools that slide down in between the door and the glass and try it yourself. You might be surprised how reasonably priced locksmiths are, especially if you drive it to their shop.

Ya, I had a passenger door stick once. And it woulda stayed stuck, but the young lady in the passenger seat was yellin' and screamin' so loud that I decided to unlock it.

Very nice and helpful post, it thought it came from a 17 year old trucker but instead it came from a veteran 32 year experienced trucker.

Let me guess every single truck that you've had owned has been brand new, and you trade it in every two years.

I know part of the dash blocks part of the liner, but since the linkage is all aft of the dash, take off the liner starting at the back (rear) end of the door were the pich bites the lug. Knocherloose/WD-40/penetrating oil the #### out of itif its siezed. Something could be broke which means if you get the door open, it might not lock back closed. You either bought a Katrina truck or the previous owner left it sitting for a long time. Might want to fix the DOT stuff first before the door. But a locked up pass door will make the blindsides a beeyotch, cuz you'll have to get out 5 times Lol

This is what I did. I got my hand in there and got the door open.
Then took off the rest of the panel.
Found a yellow clip (broken) at the LOWER outside door latch thing.
Oddly, it all needs to be connected and working or NOTHING works.

$4 for a pair of them at the KW dealer and in stock. Case closed!

PS. Not a Katrina truck... :biggrin_25523:

BTW, the only DOT issues this rig has (so far) is 1 very bald tire and 1 on the way. July 9th I get paid and will be buying 4 virgin tires and 4 more then the next month. Can't afford to replace all 8 at once and legally they dont need it - yet.
Oh and the LOW AIR alarm doesnt work. Light does but no buzzer. I got a sep thread for that help....
