Passenger killed after BNSF train strikes truck
I used to live 10 minutes from where this collision occurred. The BNSF line is the busiest rail line in the entire Chicagoland metro area. It is triple tracked for over 40 miles between Chicago and Aurora. Locally it is known as “The Racetrack”, and for good reason, trains along that line typically fly along at 70 mph,in particular along the center express track!
