I don't think it would work well though. Think of the problems now with parking in the fuel island. I can see all the complaining because of drivers blocking the drive-thru,roadway.

Hey lobes were pretty slow right now where I work, but I heard Force Inc and P&B Riggle is looking for guys.

I work on some job sites with Riggle and they have some nice equipment.

I think I saw some of their truck out by Homer City a few weeks ago. New 389 Pete's if I remember right.

Yeah they run 389s with some chrome and theyre always cleaned up.

The part I've found thats hard to deal with is that alot of places hauling water are switch seating and running two 12 hour shifts....I hate switch seating...

They are starting to drill a well right on homer city power plan property that is eventually going to be plumbed right out of the ground and into the plant.

Slip seating can be a problem. It doesnt surprise me about them doing some gas at the plant. With the current regs be imposed by the EPA, it's gonna kill the coal industry. We are already slowing up. They shut down a plant out east in Sunbury at the first of the year. The limestone we bring to a few of the plants with scrubbers has even been cut. That's the main reason I'm starting to look elsewhere. Have you heard anything about Shortfuse. I'm looking at them because their yard is about 10mins from my place. I got an application to fill out for them, but they have a release about using hire right. I haven't worked for anyone that uses dac so there wouldnt be anything on mine. Not sure if I want to work for a company that uses hire right.
    I guess I really hijacked this thread.:biggrin_25520:

That's okay we took over this thread, Are they shutting down Sunbury generation?! I hauled some pumps out there before.

I noticed Shortfuse has alot of transports and I see them running around clearfield and up on I80 alot, I havent worked on a jobsite with them to date though.

I will say stay away from Select tank trucks, bunch of jerk offs over there and they are like the werner of water hauling...

Stallion hauls alot of flowback out to ohio, You may want to look into running a transport for them.

As far as I know Sunbury is done. We havent hauled out there since the first of September. From what I know they were in some trouble. They got a grant from the government to install a scrubber system. They took the money and spent it on a bunch of new equipment instead of the scrubbers, now they can't meet the new air standards. I liked hauling out there. Loads payed well and it set up a nice day for the other loads we haul. I could make $250 and be home by 2:30 in the afternoon.
There is a lot of instability in the coal industry now. There are a lot of guys that are only working 3 days a week. Rosebud laid off 200 trucks since the first of the year. Things dont look good with the high fuel prices too. Most mine companies will let it sit in the ground untill fuel comes down.

So you only need to stop when it says "trucks must check brakes" like on the I-80 westbound west of Donner? If it just says "brake check area" then its okay to pass?

Pretty much that is correct....note the colors of the sign....silver or yellow or blue background will be a big indicator.
