I have a dilemma in my hands. I work for CRST and I have 9 months with them. My plan is to stay with them for 1 yr then take my business elsewhere. Now just last month in WA I90 I accidently by passed a scaled. Its funny that every1 knows which one Im talking about. The one where is like so far up after the exit and the overpass is blocking the view. Yeah I passed that one while driving at night. Now this month i got called into the safety dept and they gave me a stupid course which was like 15 mins. Papers sign saying what I did and whatever. Had to pay 150 for it and then release with a probation and I cant get any tickets or Accidents in one year. Im kinda mad cause I feel now that im bounded to them for another year and I dont want to team drive for another year.
My questions are does this effects my dac? The fact that Im in a probation does it prohibits me from going to another company? What are my options and what can I do? Thanx for the responses

If they have you under any kind of contract they can probably report that you broke contract. Im not sure they can really report anything else. Dac reports are for like accidents and truck abandonments. Did you get a ticket for passing the scale? If not it shouldn't be on your record. It sounds like just an internal company issue. Start looking into other companies now and explain to them what happened. I'm not sure what your experience is but be careful job hoppin!
Mr. Ortiz Thanks this. -

Can't you just finish your year and start looking like you had planned???

You won't know until you start applying elsewhere,...IF it does, then just stay where your at awhile longer.....I guess.....

If I were you I would pick up the phone and start calling the companies you are interested in and be honest with them. Don't make excuses, they hear them all day long, just tell them what happened and ask if it will affect your chances of being hired on with that company.
You'll know within a matter of minuets where you stand.Mr. Ortiz Thanks this.
