Hi all, I am applying to Prime, do I need a passport prior to applying? Also what is a TWIC card and do I need that prior as well?
Thank you all in advance!

If they'llsend you into Canada or across international borders, yes on passport, if your dealing with airports or ports, proably a twic card
-
Twic card is short for transportation workers identification card. It is a whole different card from a hazmat endorsment, but in most chem and gas and along all the coast you will need both
Emclem1307 Thanks this. -
Passport is easier to get before you go. TWIC you can get later. Prime has a TWIC office in the MO termial to make it easy.... easier.

best get as much done before you actually start working.
the passport, frankly i never got one, i'll never get one..prime has more drivers than carter has liver pills, they can send someone else to "the darkside"....Emclem1307 Thanks this. -
IMO, the priority would be TWIC, Hazmat, Passport.
TWIC helps alot for ports and military bases, Hazmat can "in theory" can help you to keep moving and not wait for a reload, and a Passport to help you go to Canada.
Not sure why people would want to go to Canada in a Prime truck. Company trucks governed at 62 and Canada governing trucks at 65 is just a recipe for undue stress. Canadians mess up Bacon and Whiskey to boot. Don't need to go there. -
Canadian Mist is pretty good.
