    Why?

Sounds like he knows you won’t be in a truck any time soon. His insurance WILL require 5 years AFTER the conviction for the tickets to drop off before they can insure you at his payments present level.

I would rather join the Is French Foreign Legion and have to wash & wax Vehicles in their motor pool everyday for 5 years than ever consider driving for Western Express or Prime

I am assuming when you got those speeding tickets you did not hold a CDL. This means 383.51 does NOT apply to you. If both of those tickets were handled as speeding tickets and not reckless driving all is not lost at this point. Once those tickets do fall off you might find a company that will hire you. In this business, time can be your best friend. Get that lead out of your foot!!!!! Time will fix this. In the meantime see if you can get a job driving a yard switch truck or something like that. Good luck and slow down!

Join the Army as an 88M - Motor Transport Operator. You'll go to basic training, then AIT at the US Army Trucking School in Fort Leonard Wood, MO for 5 weeks and 4 days. After that, you will join a unit somewhere in the world (US or Overseas) that has a slot to fill (could be a Forward Support Company or an all-out Transportation Company), where you will get additional specialized training in the specific vehicles that unit operates.

After 2 years of driving for Uncle Sam, you can use the military skills testing waiver to obtain a civilian Class A + endorsements... and you never paid a penny for school. Check with your local Army Recruiter for the current shortest enlistment length for this MOS, back when I was in recruiting (20 years ago), it was 3 years + training time (basically 39 months). When your time is coming to a close, there are several companies that will count your military experience to bump you higher on the pay scale, and you will have made life-long friends along the way. You will also get to operate some of the coolest rigs in the world, potentially even the Heavy Equipment Transport (M1070A1/M1000).

I agree 100%. I have several friends who were driving trucks early on in their careers. In the 1970s Air Force, this AFSC was mostly OJT. Join the service and you might find out it is something you would be interested in staying long enough to retire. My son-in-law today is an Army Lt Colonel and they are just weeks away from a PCS move to Ft Campbell. He never planned to stay in once commissioned. He changed his mind!

Good recruiters are used to it. They know everybody is not cut out for military service. Somewhere in an old scrapbook I still have my recruiter's card. Unless it got tossed after my mom died. One of my neighbors has a grandson in his last year of HS. He has several such cards in his wallet.
