Hey everybody. I recently passed my class a skills test and now im beginning to look for my first trucking job. I ‘d prefer to drive local. I wanna do local belly dump/ end dumps but I cant find anything. I would do food service but i’ve had a bad back pain since I was a kid. Btw im 23 in the central tx area ( Killeen/ ft hood/ austin) with an auto restriction. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
Congrats and good luck on the new career . Always seems like Texas has lots of driving jobs . I say get out there and apply and talk to places. Most everyone is nice and supportive.
I can't speak for where you live, but being 23 with an auto restriction and zero experience and you want to stay local? Good luck. All my local outfits wanted experience. And the auto restriction would have killed it dead as well. After 2 years of hearing NO I finally sucked it up and went OTR.
