Does anybody know what the general pay rates per/km are in Europe for indepentent operators? I'm thinking buying a truck for my construction business and would like to know if it makes sense to consider using it for long (or short) haul when my regular activity is slow. Any input on logistics companies is also appreciated. Thanks for any replies.

Know what it cost per mile to operate the truck....maintenance, repairs, compliance (plates, permits, insurance, etc.), truck payment, driver salary, etc...

Know what sort of profits you'd need to see before you'd consider it worth your time & trouble doing "on the side".

    Add it all up.

That should be your bare minimum won't take a load for less rate.

Thanks for the reply. I know how much I need to make in order to be worth my while, I'm wondering what the actual market rate is. I also just noticed that this is the International section, not the international section.:biggrin_25524::biggrin_25520:
