George, look in Iroquois County for a place to live. About 70 miles south of I80. My parents 2400 sg ft ranch on a 3rd acre in excellent condition is only valued around $175,000. A lot of decent homes for $100-125,000.

Well, I never. I refer you to Elvira. An editorial By: Tramp. I make enough to afford anything I want. Been that way for years. I have never had a problem proving Mr. News sees Me, going by on my Hog. He is pretty cool. You have these things. Called WORK sport, got to go.

mileage pay vs percentage, i found out that percentage pay gave me about $900 per week more for less miles, lighter loads
you figure your deadhead in accepting the load
so if you are driving for mileage pay ($1.50/mi), and you will not be paid for all the miles you drive, so that automatically becomes $1.35 or so
so for 1,000miles of driving you made $1.350
but if you picked up a load for $2,000 and you figured your own mileage at 1200 miles you made more money,
that same 1200 mile load would have been dispatched at 1120 x 1.50 = $1,680
so you made $320 more in two days doing the exact same work -
Family forum. A Mostly Wonderful crew. We have sour apples. Very few. I do think blocking some words is silly. The kids hear more curse words in school every day than we ever use. I spent 9000.00 today. Said bad words. Just $$$.

It's the usual small town stuff as far as crime goes. The county is a farming community. Normal percentage of white trash, some Hispanics, most good people and hard working. A small percentage of African Americans and Indian/Pakistanis. A murder every few years I would guess. Schools are decent, 6 high schools in the county. Largest town in the County is Watseka, my former place of residence, born and raised, population 5700. I will be selling my house in about 1 1/2 years. Property values are down right now, because of economy and a bad flood a few years ago. I would recommend NOT buying a house in Watseka. Clifton, right on I57 would probably be a good choice. Cissna Park is a great community but kind of away from everything. If you get serious about it in the future, a friend of mine, retired Roadway driver is a hard working real estate agent. Richard Smith in Watseka. Smith Realty. I might make a suggestion of looking in Indiana, along I65 south of Lake County. Indiana is in much better financial shape, property taxes are lower and the state is more business friendly. DeMotte is a nice town. Good luck in whatever you do.
