PC*Miler Navigator x50 Series GPS Systems

Well, its official !! Last week at meetings and a trade show in PA, I had an opportunity to meet with Dan Titus, VP - Business Development at ALK Technologies. The "big news" from ALK and PC*Miler is that on the new x50 series of PC*Miler Navigator GPS Systems - ALL map & software updates are FREE till atleast the end of 2010. (No decision has been made as to 2011, but my gut feeling is that they will provide FREE map updates into the 2011 time frame also.)

The updates will be available at a minimum every 90 days, and possibly more often than that.

Also, if a location is not in the data base, PC*Miler will update that location within 45 days of the time you email them ... and all the updates will be downloadable via the web.

This service will be available for the new PC*Miler Nav 450 (now available) & 750 (750 soon to be released). The new x50 series operates on a new hardware platform, with more memory and a faster processor .... thus providing maximum performance and ease of use. It also incorporates the latest version of PC*Miler - PC*Miler 24.

Also, map updates for the Nav 430, 440, 540, and 740 will be available soon on an SD Ram card.

Also, for the true NASCAR fan ... a 4.3" car version will be available with either Dale Jr's or Tony Stewart's voice giving you the turnn-by-turn directions .... now that's cool!! (Availability late 3rd quarter).

 

I'm surprised no one responded to this post. This is incredible news for drivers ... FREE map updates every 90 days with the new PC*Miler Nav 450 and 750 !!

Drivers complain about having been charged for map updates ... and finally a company has done something about it ... and no responses ... geez.
