PCM 430 time change

    Has anyone else's pcm 430 changed time already??.. mine changed monday.. had to set it for Atlantic time..I'm in the eastern time zone.. so my eta would be correct .. but it changes back by it's self .. is this just a normal thing..lol ??

    Yup. You have old firmware which does not reflect the correct daylight savings time date. For 2 weeks in the fall and again 2 weeks in the spring, the ETA will be one hour off. The way to work-around the anomaly is to offset your time zone by one time zone over from your actual time zone in the settings for those two weeks.

    This Saturday at Midnight when DST goes into effect it will be fine again. But you'll have to change the zone setting back to the "real" one if you offset it this week.

    This can occur on some models 430/440/540 and 740 that have older firmware. PC Miler will fix this problem for free, but you have to send it in (which means going without it for about 8 - 10 days.)

    ok.. so even though I have the newest OS and map's.. the firmware for the device it's self is older.. i understand that.. since i used to repair computers..:)

    Correct. You can check the firmware version if you "exit CoPilot" and there should be a machine settings area where it will tell you.
