Chinatown Thanks this.

Earl Henderson Trucking has the easiest program to get into. They cut through all the BS the other companies make you go through and get right down to business. 3 weeks local driving/classroom, then hit the interstate. Also provide hotel, 3 meals a day, bus ticket or Amtrak ticket to get to their school.

The best policy in any situation is "Don't ask, don't tell."
This is a good policy these days in trucking. The experienced drivers already know this; never snitch on yourself about anything unless you're wanting to sabatoge the job or job interview or job application.truckerlife74, RetiredUSN, G.Anthony and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you are complaining now about something like this, wait until you get on the road.
G.Anthony Thanks this. -
One of your mistakes was choosing Maverick. I wouldn't touch a traitorous Trucking Alliance company with a 10 ft pole.
G.Anthony and WitchingHour Thank this. -
I don't regret trying to change careers. I will probably make another run at it next winter once I slow down. The girl asked what all medications I was on and felt best to be honest about things. Even in a non-fault accident things and turn ugly if it's found you lied on an application.
I'm not lying to accomplish anything. Nor skirting an issue. Last I need is some extra level of culpability. -
I did not see in your original posting, how long ago the bike wreck was. But IF and I say IF at the very least it's been OVER 3 years, DO NOT ever mention it again! I cannot say the anti-anexetiy meds.
Now be forewarned, that IF you apply to this very same company again, there is the slight possibility that you will be in their files, which when you give them your SS number, you will pop up all over again, and play the merry-go-round game. I'd suggest a different company, which you can still do now! -
yea I agree on the not mentioning thing. But the wreck was within 18 months. and if their doc did a physical its pretty hard to miss the scars on the right side of my body.
I was basically a crushed humpty dumpty. Don't hit a deer at 50mph. -
I have ridden bikes at the wee hours of say about 3-4 AM, and I can assure you, I had my eyes wide shut!
I figure, If I can't see them, they ain't there!Campitor Thanks this.
