I still have other options. Its that that is the first time I heard of a commercial truck
rental company turn down business. I am not trying to lease or buy at this time.

I think what they're saying is they don't have enough trucks, which is true of pretty much everyone these days. Major manufacturers are sold out thru the end of the year. Daimler has even disabled Freightliner salespeople's ordering software and drawn up a new pay package for their salespeople to account for the fact that they can't sell any more trucks.

The other day I was delivering to a Sam's store when a Penske box truck pulled up to the docks. It was an unusual sight, I was thinking it must be a new independent guy with a really sweet contract, or maybe he got lost, but then out hops a uniformed FedEx driver, doing FedEx deliveries in a Penske.
