Who knows where they go, I don't care because they made the decision not to work in this industry.
OK I went with a whole summer without A/C back in 2009, I didn't care to get it fixed so no A/C in the truck and where did I go? All over - from the north east which was bad with the humidity to the deep south - I survived because if I didn't I wouldn't be typing this.
OK you are just a number, and this may hurt feelings here but because people complain about the simplest things and then quit when they don't get their way, the companies don't really care - why should they?
Just because you cared about your employees doesn't mean that it applies to this industry. I have a rude awakening when I went to the last place I could work even though I learned how to drive a truck in the 70's and had jobs lined up then, too much changed and one thing that did was the attitude of the drivers, there is more "about Me" stuff than "about Us" stuff now.
Where do you guys get this crap from?
Government will do everything to run people off?
Government controlling the big companies - this makes your serious issue look like you are complaining to complain.
Seriously if you are having an issue with a company not caring (which maybe you need to be a bit more tactful and aggressive about getting your truck fixed?), I can understand why you would see this crap and think that it is impossible to be an O/O. Got to tell you that this business may be complex to someone like you but once you learn the ropes and have a few hats on, it is actually a really easy thing to make money in.
People who quit trucking... what's the alternative?
