Like pattyj said get a fan. I used one till I was 21 it works. Also don't give me that sleepy driver crap not when there are drivers on here asking how to hook up video games, tvs, etc, they aren't sleeping....plus I see the same people on here 24/7 ######## about things I've said so the sleepy driver crap is bogus

Companies treat you like a king or queen as long as you make them money. The minute you're no longer useful to them you'll get discarded and the next "human resource" will take your seat. Life is brutal and very unfair, unless you're Donald Trump or Warren Buffet.

Try sleeping in TX with over 100 degree heat and a dog with long hair because you're AC isn't fixed and the company wont fix it till it gets back to their shop in Iowa.It needed an AC clutch.I did everything in my power to keep my dog cool. But shes a fighter.I bought a water bottle with a fan on it.

Wow... I do agree that it apears the new breed of drivers seem a bit on the fluffy side... they complain and whine an awful lot....

They sell fans that you can put in your sleeper... and if you put some bandanas in your cooler and drape it over the fan it will blow a bit of cool air on you....

Also, watch what you eat before you go to sleep... some foods raise your blood sugar and make your body temp go up... drink plenty of water, water not soda pop... soda pop is nothing but sugar and has no nutritional value what so ever... but water hydrates your body and helps your body cool itself off...

Another trick, buy some lotion with cucumber in it... it has a cooling effect as well, smells refreshing and is good for your skin....

And dont fret too much about it... soon you will be complaining about being to cold...
Maybe I should be telling this to a therapist.:biggrin_25526:
Why pay a therapist when you have an internet full of experts that will explain exactly what you're doing wrong for free?

-Turn over is high and you wonder what the alternative is for those who leave the industry.
-There an issue with the truck and freighliner can't get to it right away.
-Trucking companies don't care at all.
-As a boss you treated your employees good.
-You may become a politician.
-You're the best driver and your company loves ya!

Sorry, I don't feel like an idiot for missing your point.

So all those pets and kids dying in hot cars are just made up?

Yes it's a safety issue. Not only not getting the proper rest but during at 2pm when you are heading due west into the 100 degree sun it just saps every bit of energy from you and it's going to dull your reaction time

That being said OP can idle and have AC. I'm sure he's not losing "thousands" of dollars like he claims. I tend to think he likes to exaggerate.
