Or "I was a Marine Corp Sniper in Vietnam". I don't know exactly how many snipers the Marine Corps had in Vietnam, but the place must have been overrun with them.

I've been driving since '92. Not sure when one reaches "old timer" status... But I will say, at least back then I could work the HOS to my favor and "roll with it". I'm sure the "old timers" did what I did. --Too hot to sleep, drive instead! Not so easy to live by that mantra nowadays.

If the old guys aren't rolling... There's a reason. Maybe you haven't got caught-up in it yet, but one day you will.

You give the Government too much credit. I would crash the TTR servers listing all the illogical/contradictory Government rules and regulations...

Although it may sound like im giving them too much credit,I hate the government.Only time they're concerned about safety is to their benefit, same with the carriers, not to the drivers benefit. When it comes right down to it no one cares about the safety of the drivers. All the laws we have are all about revenue, job creation and the people except for the truck drivers, peticulary the 18 wheelers. There's no such thing as comfort for the truck drivers unless they wanna pay for the comfort themselves.

"Why would someone that is a programmer become a truck driver" -should be the original posters question.
It must be all those driving school commercials on TV.

Seems the OP got the boot for 1 reason or another ( shown as Banned or Retired ) but its funny how 1 week ago his attitude was "I trash talk on this forum for fun but in real life I get things done without an excuse" but yet today being the TOP DRIVER at his company he cannot live without full a/c and his TOP DRIVER STATUS did nothing in getting it FIXED ASAP.
