    I finally went the smartphone route and have been spending waaay too much time playing with it. I've found all sorts of kewl apps related to trucking.
    (*sings wasted days and wasted nights*)

    Has anybody played with an iPhone app called Per Diem Log?

    Hi, welcome to 2013. WTG on the smartphone. Per Diem Log? Is that so you can count how many days out you are at for the Standard trucker deduction at the end of the year, or is it a way to find out just how much you get screwed by letting your company put you on it? Inquiring minds want to know!

    (p.s. When going up the Rocky Mountains, it's a great time to follow up on correspondence like email and texting! LoL! Hey, at 15-20 miles an hour it's not hard to keep the truck straight and even and check your messages...then when you get to the top at the brake check area it's a great time to send your replies (after you have safely stopped and set your brakes!))

    LOL! Great post, NotANumber! Be safe-

    I have no interest in getting screwed by a company whose sole motivation for "offering" per diem is to lessen driver income in order to lower their payroll taxes and workers' comp premiums. I wanna keep up with my own deductions to be sure I maximize them.
