The first time I tried to reason with Johnny he said "I didn't hire you" and hung up on me. Then called my husband and told him to "grow a pair" and his wife would never fight his battles. My husband's response "My wife is the sweetest girl in the world until you screw with her family"
Johnny is about to figure out he messed with the wrong southern belle :)

That's the way to go. Try getting some of his former drivers and go in with a class action and with the news. The more who fight this the greater the chance for results. As they say never mess with a truckers wife.

id remove the driveline , air hose from compressor, lock tires or remove steers, anything to secure payment.... Truck wouldnt leave til I get whats rightfully mine.

Why your husband would consider doing him a favor of dropping off the truck after he burned your hubby like that is beyond me.

You say you have retained a lawyer. Ask him/her what to do with the truck. You could leave yourself liable for damages if you remove items or disable property you do not own.
That is what your lawyer is for.

I would think you would be far ahead to start some sort of legal proceedings to make it official so the guy can't say your hubby abandoned the truck and load. Sure sounds like a crook to me and it is a shame.

I hear what your saying, I just hate to see a driver get taken advantage of by a fleet owner or company.

The truck is parked in my driveway and it can't stay here because of our HOA. If we take it somewhere else we are responsible for its safety if the owner tells us to move it then it's no longer my problem. Believe me, moving it for him was more for our benefit than his.

Here's the best laugh I've had in a while ... He just threatened my husband and told him he was going to report the truck stolen and have him arrested. Johnny says he's done that to other drivers.

This guy is such a joke!

I kind of figured that. Again this is a real pet peeve of mine. I dont like to see drivers getting bullied or taken advantage of.

I beleive if a guy agrees to jump in your truck, is responsible, takes care of your equip. and helps you make money , you should look out for him not nickle & dime him to death.

    jplanchon Thanks this.

truck is not stolen if your husband was given legal right to drive it. I would ask your atty if he knows a lot that will tow it and secure it at the owner's expense until this is settled

    281ric Thanks this.
