Percentage Unloaded Miles

    With percentage there is no such thing as unpaid miles. The rate on loads covers all miles driven. If it doesn't the company won't be in business long. None of this applies to OP. None of the companies he listed pays on percentage. He will be paid a flat mileage rate on "almost" every mile driven loaded or empty.

    False! The shipper pays the truck to move the freight (period). They can care less if you are 50 miles away, or 150 miles away....if you don't agree on the shipping rate, they can find someone who does.

    It's not like they ask "where is the truck coming from?"....and then tack a milage rate on to get the truck to the dock.
    If a truck is running empty, there is no revenue to share.
