Here in SoCal Cement pay is 52,000 and up depending. Valley Bulk, Double Eagle, Holiday Rock, CPC, Cemex, National, Cemek, all pay in excess of 52K. You also have APEX Bulk they pay mieage plus loading/unloading time.
On a busy year you could go as high as 65 to 70K. 26 percent load Victorville to Fresno pays 182.00, 15 minutes to load, 2.5 hours drive time and 45 minutes to scale and unload. My trip back loaded 2 blocks from my delivery. 30 load time (Victorville) 1.75 hours travel to Lancaster, Unload 1 hour, 30 travel home. 26 percent pays 145.00. So 327.00 for 12 hours is 27 plus dollads per hour. This was at Valley Bulk. Most companies that pay percentage here in Cali also pay detention time. Valley pays after an hour.
Percentage vs Hourly? What's better?
