Rv park? There are only a few true rv parks and it will cost ya big. That's if you can even get in. Most of the larger, nice places have a waiting list. If in the Monahans area,I'd highly recommend Ana's Rv park in Grandfalls,TX. Bob is great. It was called Big Bob's Rv park. Great place and folks. Now, not much there but $560 covers everything plus cable and WiFi. You can buy my camper if ya want and all you need to bring is clothes. I'll leave everything in it and for it. I don't wanna drag it back to Florida. It's 38ft long,2019 model with 1 1/2 bath, outdoor kitchen and shower. This oil field stuff is not for me. Gonna head back home.

Fifth wheel / trailer hitch may be the way to go instead of a motorized unit.

Be sure to get a spot locked down before you head out with your RV. We bought ours then tried to find a spot in Pecos. Finally found a guy with a bladed patch in the desert with sewer and water for $400 a month. My wife saw it and said ' NO WAY'. Luckily that morning we had received a call about an opening at an RV park, Kings Road RV, in the town. It was $875/month but had a cover which really made a difference in the middle of summer and protected us from the bad hail storm. Like they say, the pay is higher out there but so are the bills!tompetty69, Redtwin and bbq247365 Thank this.

When it's a real oil boom the company
Pays for the rv lot.
I spent two years in south Texas driving a water truck.
Anybody who had a rv lived for free.
The company paid for it.
No different than paying for a man camp.
If your paying your own way, your not making any
More than anybody else driving trucks.
Could have stayed wherever you came from.haz-matguru Thanks this. -
thanks for the info..why did you quit driving the water truck?

It has its good and bad, for sure. The good for me was I never had to deal with traffic jams. But I also had to deal with ankle-deep mud at times. I never did a log, as I was on Texas rules and always going back to my start point each day. But I also had to drive a slip-seat truck. Before each shift, I had to spend a good 30 minutes cleaning out somebody else's filth and mud.
