Soo i'll be going for my permit either tomorrow or thursday. Was wondering if anyone knows how many questions are on the permit test with endorsements for tanker, doubles/triples, hazmat and air brakes? I feel as if air brakes is the hardest one. Also, i'am from pennsylvania.

In california it is 30 for hazmat and 15 for tankers and double/triples. I'm pretty sure 20 for air brakes, combination and general knowledge. As long as your study none of them are that tuff. I passed all of them first time. good luck to you and don't give up.

Florida - General knowledge was 50, could only miss 10. The test credits you on ones you get right. If you get 40 right, and miss 10, and retake; it should make you only get 10 more correct on the General I believe to pass it.

Air brakes was 25 if I recall and could only miss 5, tanker and combo was 20 could only miss 4. I am going back for my hazmat/doubles and triples after school so no idea on their #

The questions were common sense, HOWEVER, there were questions that asked for exact numbers as well. And a few I don't even remember seeing in my manual/online studying.

This is a good site to help augment your studying from the manual. http://www.truckingtruth.com/cdl-tes...-practice.html

Another member showed me that site and it was extremely helpful.

If you have the CDL manual, it should list it right there. Look over the book again.

Just wondering for the site, isn't each state different soo wouldn't each one have different guidelines on what they teach?

simple answer is ALOT. LOL GN is 50 in most states, hazmat will be the toughest, But to get that really study tankers and hazmat as they go with each other for the most part.

The federal government from what I gather hands out general information and the states can form their own tests how they see fit. However many states are pretty similar in the questions. See the link I posted in my last post, that will help TREMENDOUSLY with your studying.

Air brakes test is easy. The REAL challenge for a you will probably be HAZMAT.

Lol, you already deemed wrong right about now. I'm having the most difficulty with the air brakes side of things pressure valves and control valves and abdublablumgada its psychotic to me the rest of the test is cake in my opinion. Just gotta focus on doubles/triples, hazmat and brakes. The rest is cake.
