im moving an oversize from brooklyn ny to virginia.got all the permits and escorts needed to make the move, when i got to the shipper i found out that the dimensions are different.the original load was supposed to be 12'wide 10'high and 40'feet long one piece but what i will be hauling is a two piecces 10'wide 15'long and 6' high each.the question is can i use the permits i got since the load is within the original dimensions or i need to get new permits.lets say i refuse to haul the load cause im gonna be sitting another two days waiting for new permits can i bill the broker for the old permits.thx

Use the old permits. You are not going to be over weight are you? If so you can not haul 2 pieces on the trl. and be over gross

I think you can but not sure. It's smaller so it shouldn't be a big deal. Bigger than its an issue. I'm no expert I've only done a few od loads and permits were taken care of by others.

As long as you don't go over the dimensions that are on your permits you are fine. I have done this many times, told the load is one size, go get it and its smaller.

I've done it before like Oscar has stated, You are smaller not larger than the permit. You are golden so to speak. Just make sure you are not overgross. Then it will get costly..
Fire that bad boy up and do your night move in the city...
    Good luck

I would reorder the ones that needed permits, at the very least reorder new york, An oversize pemit is usually pretty cheap at least compared to an overweight one, and an escort is never less than $1.30/mile. If the route for 12 wide added too many miles I would also reorder, use the first few states so you don't have to sit for those. A lot of times you can call and amend the permit too, so give that a shot
