Well, after a lot of hard work and the great feedback I've been given from all the members on the forum, we have decided to roll out our first of many truck lots! This lot is located in NE Houston right next to beltway 8. I have attached some 3D renderings to scale of what the final product will look like. We expect to start parking trucks next month so sign up if you want to be notified (Join Now) when this lot as well as our other lots throughout the US open!

Based on the demand in the area, this lot will be mainly filled with local haulers but is truly open to any trucker for that matter. Each lot will have different amenities but our goal is not to create a truck stop or compete with Loves, Flying J etc., but to provide a secure spot for truckers to park. The lots in and around Houston are bursting at the seams.

We are expanding quickly and are currently looking in five different markets so if you know of an area where you have experienced little to no options for parking let us know! All comments welcome!

Well done. Looks fantastic! Is that going to be an on-site service/repair shop? That might make you more money then anything right there.

I like the name too, funny and catchy.

    Thanks!!!!

Good point on the mech bay. We'd prefer to limit the repairs to almost anything other than changing oil. That can get hairy when working with the environmental authority. Maybe tires and other small repairs?

What would you suggest for a marketing campaign in order to get a truckers attention? From my father and father in-law (both haulers) they said that word of mouth is often the best and fastest way to fill the lot. We're already cold calling and threw an add up on craigslist as well.

What's your honest opinion? Facebook marketing, cold calling carriers etc.?

Word of mouth isn't the fastest way, it's simply the best way long term. In the short term a few highway billboards would likely be the best bang for the buck. Cold calling isn't done for a reason. A lot of work for little return. Plus there are pesky laws like you can't cold call a cell phone, so you would have to use a service to filter out cell numbers.
