I am a very light sleeper. A cat jumped on my truck and the shaking woke me up.
It comes from many nights on call where a slight noise even would wake me up. I pop awake when people walk by talking. One of the reasons that I parked in the back.
I have never worried. I have slept with the screens in the window even. Never ever thought about strapping the doors together. But not a problem to get out quick. Ever hear of pocket knives?

I am keeping track of 4 forums, facebook, a movie. Something gives.
Went back and read it.
My comments stay the same.
As a medic, we had little games that were played on those that slept. You learned to sleep very light.
I never got my nails painted or lipstick or colored hair like most.
I cannot even sleep in the same bed with my wife. She moves and I am awake. Many times I sleep in another room.
Company trucks anymore, it would scare me to death. The way they just get into another drivers truck because the key works it. -

You have to get by the German Shepherd who would be first in line.
Second, you would have to get past the Husky, but he is easy, just talk to him.
Third the Blue Heeler, she would bark her head off.
All of this is after you get past the 14 foot electric driveway gate that leads down the 150 foot drive.
Plenty of warning.
Sometimes the keys are in the pickup even.
In addition, since on the fire and ems in this town the police drive by quite a bit as well.
On the road, I stick to a forum or two and watch a movie.
I am never concerned and you would be amazed at some of the places I have slept.
