The company I worked for for my first year and a half had its terminal in my city, so I left my personal vehicle at the terminal while I was away.

Now I'm looking at a job with no terminals in my state. Where do you park your car when you are gone?

I'm the type of guy that mostly stays out for months at a time, and rents motel rooms on my time off.

save money, sell your car. Cheaper to rent one if you stay out that long

Maybe use Uber instead of a personal car?

Just because you lost a terminal does not mean you have lost tractor parking. If per chance you are now having to find a place to park your tractor when on home time you also have other parking problems. If I were in your shoes and were planning to stay out for long periods of time and were needing a place to also park my truck I would try to also keep my vehicle in this same place provided it is secure. And to be clear you are far from the only driver facing these kind of problems.
