Also find out what the programming is on the transmission. You may want to update to a better set up once you get it. I think that one can be done over the air like mine as well if you know the program you want.

So, I took delivery last Friday. I bought from a Pete dealership who could only certify the Volvo factory warranty by writing it from a Volvo dealer in their network of dealers. A workaround but seems to have worked. I volunteered to take it to a local Volvo dealer for the certification myself and was able to get a printout of all warranty work done on it, most of which was from that dealer.

Smooth drive home at 10.5 mpg (no trailer, ha ha). I loaded up the basics and went on a 1500 mile trip this week. The truck is great. I'm averaging 8.5 mpg with about 15k in the box both ways running 67-68. I'll take it.

Some great and not so great about this particular truck. It was involved in a deer strike and a minor left side fender bender at some point. The left fairing is not lined up. I can make out where some paint was blended but they did a pretty good job.

This truck has the I-see cruise control mapping but no adaptive cruise or lane departure warning whatsoever. No box in the front grill.

It's an XL, stretched about a foot over the standard 860. So far I love this. I plan to put a big cab rack on it even though I pull a van. Tools and parts will go there.

The newer leather seats with memory, etc. are amazing. I also have heat and back cycler but not swivel or cooling. Can't win em all.

I'm going to convert this in to a mini apartment like I did my 780. I'll be adding a stove and sink where the right hand closet is. Ladder and upper bunk are coming out and will be replaced with cabinets and storage there. I'm thinking about a roll-out memory foam topper over the lower cushions since I use the workstation during the day.

    Other stuff this one has,
    - Webasto heater which uses factory control panel
    - Factory Xantrex inverter/charger already wired in to all AC outlets
    - Rain sensing wipers
    - Thick rubber interior mats with carpet insets, so much quieter inside than my 780.

Besides the cab rack and stove/sink/countertop I'll be adding 600ah of lithium and a mini split on the back wall. I'm very happy to be free of the Thermo King APU which was such a pain in the ### on my last truck.

Add some solar panels to it as well so it keeps the batteries topped off while sitting. Would not worry to much about your lithium getting charged from them if you run long distance.

Also if you are adding some extra batteries you may want to upgrade your alternator. This is the one I ordered for mine when I had It built.
PJXMUX ALTERNATOR 320 AMP LEECE-NEVILLE HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR WITH 12 0 REMOTE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSE (12V)

Works great and keeps the batteries topped off pretty fast on my set up.

I also bought this One moment, please... for the topper. It has now ripped a little bit in the middle. Not sure I would buy another one but they are supper comfy to me especially in the winter time when they harden up from the cold. Might be able to get one cheaper and cut yourself. They are well worth it if, just wish it did not tear like it did. Would love to get a Purple mattress topper but not sure they make that size and not sure if you can cut it down or not.

You should be able to get 9's with 15K so check and see what kind of tires you have and the software on shifting and other stuff.

On a load now from MO to UT then to WA and it was 15 K starting out with about 7500 the last leg. I am at 9.2 for the trip and 10.2 from UT to WA. But I do have a lift axle on my trailer that helps and the Flow Below on truck.

Thanks @Siinman, lots of good info there. I have not hand calculated my fuel yet, this was just what the dash was telling me.

I am going to swap my nearly new Michelins from my old truck tomorrow. This truck came with some mismatched tires here and there and I have a pretty major vibration around 55 from at least one unbalanced drive tire.

I can't remember but I think this truck may have a 165 amp alternator? Seems like I looked at that when I was looking at the truck but haven't since. Either way, yeah I'll be upgrading it when I add lithium. Not in a hurry for that, I'll have it done by next Spring though.

You should take it and get an alignment done as well, sure you know this. I did not get mine align done after coming out of the factory. Was going to do it after about 6 months and totally put it off. Ended up waiting too long and cost me some decent miles on my Steers. If you are around Kansas City anytime go see Chad at Alignment Solutions. He will knock it out within 30 minutes and it will be right, Also will give you heads up on anything that needs fixed being the truck had been In a wreck before on the front. if on Facebook you can message him on messenger and he will answer pretty fast.

So, it does feel a bit sloppier than my 780 which has new Michelin steers (which I'm changing to today), newish shocks and fresh king pins. I definitely want to get it right but I've got to get my other truck sold hopefully and get on the road and earn some money with this one so some of this will happen slowly. An alignment, though, yeah, coming very soon. I have a great guy here in Knoxville.
