Saw that and additionally 2 cats , litter box and a gerbile along with a newborn baby . You smelt the truck before you saw it on a hot day .

If that happens, one of you take the dogs for a walk until the coast is clear.

US Xpress never found out about our two dogs. We never even paid the pet deposit. We would make sure they did their business before we arrived at the terminal. If we were at a terminal for a long time...I would take the dogs out one at a time.

When our truck broke down, we paid the pet fee at the hotel.

Its a good idea to have in the truck a duffel bag dog carrier so it looks like a personal bag. In case you need to put the truck in the shop then transport the dogs to a hotel.

Most people don't care. Plus, US Xpress bought a few companies that allowed two dogs so those drivers were grandfathered in.

We've been there & done that with two dogs. It can be done.

I agree the recruiters should only be truthful and honest.

Saw a lady with three chickens with her in the truck... a rooster and two hens. I'd imagine she has a few more by now...

Yes, but don't you think these people with the big menageries are owner/operators? I have 2 Australian shepherds and am looking for my first trucking company. They are both well trained, well mannered, and don't chew. Sorry, but pet policy is not the highest priority on my list. However, I am feeling hopeful that if the company that hires me doesn't allow pets, I still may end up being able to bring 1 or both along if I don't have to spend too much time at the terminal. :yes2557:

In general, two dogs are easier to keep than one because they keep each other company.

Three is a challenge. Had a Siamese that traveled as well as any dog.

I'm back down to two pooches again. So I got three chickens.

No, not in a truck. Thank you, no.

But the fresh eggs are great.
