Look at the photo of the gauge. The blue one was pegged off scale high with the compressor on and then would bleed back down when the compressor kicked off all while the red one held at 250psi. With the truck off it equalized to 135 both gauges. Did it several times with similar results.

From 10pm last night till 5pm today worked just fine. 48 degrees out the vent at highway speeds (91 outside)

Sounds like your system could potential explode in your face.
You should check your pressures with the motor off. Low side should be about 55 psi if you put the correct amount in. I don’t have a sleeper on my 379 but the fire wall says 3pounds. 3 pounds is 4 cans exactly. System should be under vacuum when starting to ad your first can. It takes almost a full can of pressure before the ac compressor will even start to cycle.

Why stop there? 10 empty cans don't weigh 4 lbs

It makes no difference whether he uses an evac machine or a harbor freight cheapo pump, it is not the vacuum process that removes the oil; the oil travels in the freon so if the freon leaves the system oil leaves the system with it.

And as boxcar said, it is always best to start from scratch if there has been an ongoing proplem, draining the compressor and flushing the system will enable the op to add the precise amount of oil and freon to insure proper lubrication and optimum cooling.

I learned the hard way that this isn't true. One season i kept having to repair the ac system, first the compressor, then a rock through the condensor, then a line that rubbed through, etc etc. Would vacuum it down and add 2 ounces of oil after each repair. Worked fine for a while then all of a sudden nothing, was stupid hot and a long way from home so didn't want to wait to get back to the house. The shop hooked up to it and sucked 8 ounces of oil out of the system. So no, those cheapo pumps will not remove the oil.

I can’t tell if you being serious bro. Just how much did you put in there to get such extremely high pressures?
