Could anyone give me some insight as to how I can adjust how much pressure my pusher axle on my 379 puts on the ground? When I hit my lift axle switch in the cab it will not go down because the bags that hold it up will not deflate. For it to go down I have to drop all my air suspension, then hit my lift axle switch and it will properly go down. Then I can air up the rest of my suspension and all seems to look proper. Problem is, when loaded heavy enough to use the pusher I run my fifth wheel up in front of my drive axles, but it doesn’t seem like my pusher is barely even touching the ground. Searched high and low for an adjustment, can’t find anything. Took off the assembly that has a bunch of airlines coming into it above the pusher on the frame, no adjustment on it. But it does have some sort of pressure relief on the bottom of it, a round piece. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

There should be a relay valve that sends air to either bag up or down. If it's sending air both ways you won't have weight on the pusher. Sounds like you have a bad relay valve. Then there should be a pressure regulator somewhere in the lines to control actual weight on axle

Should have something simular to this setup someplace on the truck. Driver side outside of the cab or sleeper or in the drivers side of the cab or sleeper. Gauge and switch might be dash mounted and yellow regulator mounted someplace else. It might also be frame mounted right by the lift axle but should still be on the drivers side.

Thinking I might be best off buying something similar to what you posted Robert. And just redoing the whole thing. Thanks guys

Thing is it should already be there some place unless it was a home job install.

Ok. I just ordered a 4axle pete and their normal factory mounting for the regulator is on the left frame rail by the lift axle but my dealer will be moving it to the drivers side sleeper compartment. But also with what you just posted and the symptoms of how things are working its an almost sure thing that the previous owner removed the regulator and just has the lift running the same pressure as the suspension. So Im betting if you trace the suspension air lines you will find where the lift has been tied into it.

I will do that, thank you for you’re help!
