Don't think that is true. I had an 02 Century and there wasn't anything cheap on it, and it seemed to break a lot more than my Pete.

I like a truck that looks nice as well as being a good solid truck. That's why I have a W900L.
International has always built good, solid trucks but their styling has always looked kind'a gooney to me...I mean, Look at the Lonestar!

That truck looks like it was designed by a drunk 4th grader...And that's the coolest looking thing that international could come up with.

As far as KW's and Pete's being more expensive to fix...I've never really seen any evidence to back that up, Everything on the truck is easily accessable unlike the Volvo, Century, Cascadia, Columbia and pretty much all of the droopy nosed trucks that have half of the engine stuffed under the cab....A mechanics nightmare if I ever saw one!
Those trucks are probably more expensive in the shop because they are so much more labor intensive...Not to mention having to be in there more often because they are so cheaply built.

I've never really seen anything to back that up either but it MUST be true because I read it on the internet.:biggrin_2559:

Why reduce 1974 K100's by association to ebay??
Because peterbilt trucks don't like you as an owner!! Imagine that!!
But refering to real "junk" for comparison wasn't really necessary just to express your dilusional thought.. :biggrin_25523:

Belltransit, what world are you currently living in exactly..

Here on earth we have specialists that deal in psychotherapy and mental analysis that might possibly be able to improve your situation with some powerful medication.. Just a thought.. :laughing3:

Probably as long as the ones that buy them (like me) can continue to get decent fuel milage out of them.

The guy that I pull for has 2 FLD's, 1 Volvo, an International something or other with a droopy hood and a Freightliner Columbia...All of them except the International have 500 Detroits in them, The International has a 475 ISX Cummins in it and they all have 1 thing in common...

I consistently get better fuel mileage than all of them with my W900L.

They will never go away. Too many folks like me, and now my kids love long hooded flat topped petes and dubya 9s. Good ole flying bricks. I've owned flat top 379exd and w900l. I love them both. Pete on the outside w900 on the inside! I wish. Or a w9 with a 389 aluminum hood would be sweet!

    Trucker186 Thanks this.
